Cricket: the Vulcan Athletic Ground (former home to Derby Junction Football Club) was situated 600 yards due west of the Baseball Ground. This was not another former home of Derby County, however they played here as an away team when playing the 'Juncs' who were forced out of business by Derby Midland F.C. who in turn were swallowed up by Derby County. For a short time Derby County adopted the original Derby Junction black and white striped shirts. Baseball matches were also played at this ground as well as other sports. Note: the building in the top left of the image which is a library, is where the original football pavilion stood.
